Preston's Nigel Coupe won the International Show Jumping Vinopolis Speed Horse of the Year at the Horse of the Year Show at Birmingham's NEC this afternoon (Sunday 11 October).

Riding Jubilee III, Nigel completed a fault-free round of the course in 49.33 seconds, just 0.15 seconds ahead of William Whitaker in second and 0.53 seconds of Yazmin Pinchen in third.

Nigel won this class back in 1988 and competed regularly at the Horse of the Year Show through the 80s and 90s.
