Great success at Olympia for LBP

  • by

LBP once again provided the official radio service at Olympia for the London International Horse Show which celebrated its 40th anniversary.

Following the success of British Equestrianism at London 2012 the Lloyd Bell team secured a number of key slots on national radio. This included an outside broadcast by BBC Radio 5 Live who produced a live two hour show from the Puissance at Olympia. A number of key Olympians such as Charlotte Dujardin, Carl Hester and Mary King were also interviewed by Radio 5 Live to preview their OB in the week leading up to the event. The combined PR value of coverage organised by LBP on 5 Live was £410, 800.

Radio 4 interviewed Olympia Director Simon Brookes Ward and Olympic gold medallist show jumper Ben Maher and that slot alone had a PR value of £92, 025. LBP also arranged Carriage driver and devil horseman Daniel Naprous to feature on Radio 2. The PR value for the coveted 1850 slot was £80,500. Regional outlets were also supplied audio via Lloyd Bell’s online distribution service and all audio was placed on the official Olympia website.
