The ‘Long Way Doune’ Porsche project excites LBP team

  • by

Porsche GB have appointed Lloyd Bell Productions as radio support for the Porsche 911 50th anniversary Charity UK tour ‘The Long Way Doune’. Gordon Robertson, who is the Chief Driving Consultant at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone, will visit nine of the UK’s top race circuits in three days.

Robertson will be driving a 1965 Porsche 911 from his home town of Doune in Scotland to Goodwood, in order to raise funds and awareness for the Ninewells Cancer Research Charity as last year he was diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer. But thankfully after intensive radio therapy he was back on the road after 6 weeks.

On the ‘Long Way Doune’ adventure Gordon will meet some ‘guests’ who are supporting him including Mark Webber, ‘The Stig’ and Vicky Butler Henderson.

Lloyd Bell Productions will organise previews with stations and live interviews at each of the tracks Gordon will be visiting to further raise awareness of the Challenge.
