Michael Jung wins his first Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials Title
Germany’s Michael Jung has won his first ever Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials title, claiming the Rolex Grand Slam in the process. The Rolex Grand Slam, the biggest prize in three day eventing, has been won just once before and is awarded to a rider that consecutively wins Badminton, Kentucky and Burghley 4 star competitions.
Jung dominated the competition from start to finish, jumping double clear in the cross country and the show jumping to finish on his Dressage score of 34.4 on board La Biosthetique Sam.
Jung’s German compatriot Andreas Ostholt finished in second position, while Gemma Tattersall finished as the top British rider in third overall.
