Irish trainer Aidan O’Brien the biggest winner at Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot once again proved to be a wonderful spectacle for all in attendance as it delivered a festival of incredible racing, fashion and atmosphere.

It was a brilliant week for Irish trainer Aidan O’Brien who ended up winning awards for Best Owner and Best Trainer. Highlights for O’Brien included wonderful wins for Carravaggio (Commonwealth Cup), Highland Reel (Prince of Wales Stakes) and Idaho (Hardwicke Stakes). Here he reflects on a great week:

 

O’Brien’s stable jockey Ryan Moore won the award for Best Jockey at Ascot after 6 wins across the week. His crowning moment was undoubtedly back-to-back Group One wins on board Carravaggio and Winter (Coronation Stakes) on day four. This was his reaction:

 

Big Orange seals dramatic Gold Cup win
