The Wales Millennium Centre asked Lloyd Bell to support in the production of ‘The WMC Centre Summit’ – a staff meeting with a twist.
Although we host events on a regular basis, the WMC presented the Lloyd Bell Team with a project that was pretty different to anything we had hosted before.
Portrayed as a ‘staff meeting’ the WMC staff expected the Summit to be a typical meeting where key messages were portrayed by senior members of staff in the usual format. Little did they know that behind the scenes, the LBP team were planning something unique.
During a formal introduction, Sam was interrupted by a ‘flash mob’ style performance from two cast members of the WMC production of Tiger Bay The Musical. It was then revealed that the Centre Summit wasn’t going to be a staff meeting of normal proceedings; workshops were going to take the place of reviews and performances were going to take the place of speeches.
The Summit proved to be a huge success for the purpose of staff engagement and increasing morale.It was a privilege to be a part of such an exciting and innovative event.
