Katie Bradburne emulated her broth Tom as she took the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers championship at the Horse of the Year show on Thursday at the NEC.

Kate ,riding SHOVERN INCA, produced a stunning round in the jump off to secure victory by just under half a second ahead of Hollie Gerken who despite being last to go was unable to match Katie's time.

Bradburne comes from a family with strong links to horse racing . Her mother Gee is a cheltenham festival winning jockey and her uncle Marcus won the grand national in 1990.

Katie was naturally delighted to win won of the premier classes in the UK for young riders. and spoke to Rupert Bell after her win
