Joe Trunkfield wins Puissance at Horse of the Year show


Oakham's Joe Trunkfield produces an amazing performance to win the Ripon Select Foods Puissance in front of a sellout crowd at the horse of the year show on Saturday night at the NEC in Birmingham

Trunkfield and his horse Locomtion were the only combiantion to jump clear in the fifth and final round and the pair cleared the famous puissance wall at 2m 15 (7ft 1) as the only other rider Paul Sims to make it through to that stage failed to clear the jump.

It was the second time Trunkfield had won the puissance having done so back in 2021.
